washie (what my mom called washing the butt)
i hate that people still use "motion picture" when talking about movies. i guess not normal people but in previews and voice-overs they still do that. i feel like it should have ended around the same time people started calling horseless carriages, cars. actually now that im on the subject, id also be curious to know where the word movie started. obviously the root word is move. but there must be more to it. ill ask my wife. shes an english major. shes gotta be good for at least this much.

Might as well
Eh might as well post something new since there could be some new visitors.
At work cleaning my eye between patients since something really weird and nasty is happening. Im getting some major eye booger crap constantly. This morning it was like overloaded with gunk and the eye is all watery. in fact it was annoying to see while driving because i was building up a film on my eye. this could be a problem. but yea ever since my wedding im coming down with all kinds of ailments. not sure if there is a connection.
also while laying in bed i realized that one downside to being a hairy punjabi is that when you feel like putting your arm across your face to cover it you end up tickling yourself. sleep is unlikely to happen like that. perhaps i should shave my arm. but in my defense i dont think im that bad.

wah gi what?
wah gi wah is a pretty awesome restaurant on chestnut and 45th that opened less than a year ago in the city. its amazing. except one issue tonight. the heat needed to be on. or at least turned up way higher. i think the entire time i sat there we were just near freezing. seriously...whats with that? business seemed steady so i dont see why they cant get some heat going! in the restaurant off to the side there was a space heater that we just grabbed and started using. even then it was brutal. the best part is that earlier in the day my friends and i were debating on where to eat and i rejected this afghani place nearby cuz last time the heat wasnt on there either. well that and the owner is a weird guy that drinks vodka that keeps hidden. that kind of stuff will turn me off pretty fast. people need to grow some stones and deal with reality instead of diluting it with a drink.
i just realized my last post is sorta similar with the end theme about muslim restaurants and alcohol. kind of a sad observation of muslim businesses or business owners. anyway there are plenty of good businesses as well including wah gi wah. in fact i'll forgive them for not cranking up the heat. maybe that means they have more stones than my shivering ass.

cheers!
a random story from atlanta. well actually it was on the way back when we stopped in raleigh, nc. we went to a turkish restaurant to grab a bite to eat and it was actually a really nice place. usually these ethnic places have a strong chance of being a little dingy and poorly maintained but this one was a surprise. what caught my attention though was a large portrait of kemal ataturk (father of modern turkey) hanging on a wall. now thats something common to find in turkish places but what made this more curious was that his portrait was hung directly over the bar. brilliant. that man wanted nothing more in life than to remove islamic heritage and culture from turkey and be as european and white as possible and what better way to remember that than hang his face over a bar. im sure he'd have no problem with it and i couldnt imagine a more fitting place to remember his legacy.
even i'll drink to that.

sheisters
sometimes on long drives im forced to pull over and stop for a break. oftentimes this break includes a trip to the bathroom. my new favorite rest area is the one in delaware on 95 but thats beside the point. what i always find grossly fascinating is the amount of feces that probably comes out of a public restroom especially large ones like the ones you find in a rest area. the toilets are flushing constantly. someone needs to do a study on this. its really amazing. so many different people from so many different backgrounds all dropping a deuce from one place. if anyone ever feels inferior (or superior) to another person they should visit a restroom and realize that in the end...we all shit.

speaking.
today i decided to forget about everything with the help of some booze and sing. ill sing anything right now to forget its freezing cold and lonely in the city. 10 bucks is all i got and 10 bucks is all i need to get loose. course a few reefers cant hurt but i aint got time or money for that when i need to sing. im gonna clap and tap and sing as loud as i can. most people like when i sing and they smile when they pass me. some of the nicer folk even help me out with quarters. see i was born to entertain and lucky for me i got nothing holdin me back. no wife. no kids. no money. just the street. the lights. and my fans.
