cheers!

a random story from atlanta.  well actually it was on the way back when we stopped in raleigh, nc.  we went to a turkish restaurant to grab a bite to eat and it was actually a really nice place.  usually these ethnic places have a strong chance of being a little dingy and poorly maintained but this one was a surprise.  what caught my attention though was a large portrait of kemal ataturk (father of modern turkey) hanging on a wall.  now thats something common to find in turkish places but what made this more curious was that his portrait was hung directly over the bar.  brilliant.  that man wanted nothing more in life than to remove islamic heritage and culture from turkey and be as european and white as possible and what better way to remember that than hang his face over a bar. im sure he'd have no problem with it and i couldnt imagine a more fitting place to remember his legacy.

even i'll drink to that.

sheisters

sometimes on long drives im forced to pull over and stop for a break.  oftentimes this break includes a trip to the bathroom.  my new favorite rest area is the one in delaware on 95 but thats beside the point.  what i always find grossly fascinating is the amount of feces that probably comes out of a public restroom especially large ones like the ones you find in a rest area.  the toilets are flushing constantly.  someone needs to do a study on this.  its really amazing.  so many different people from so many different backgrounds all dropping a deuce from one place.  if anyone ever feels inferior (or superior) to another person they should visit a restroom and realize that in the end...we all shit.

speaking.

today i decided to forget about everything with the help of some booze and sing.  ill sing anything right now to forget its freezing cold and lonely in the city.  10 bucks is all i got and 10 bucks is all i need to get loose.  course a few reefers cant hurt but i aint got time or money for that when i need to sing.  im gonna clap and tap and sing as loud as i can.  most people like when i sing and they smile when they pass me.  some of the nicer folk even help me out with quarters.  see i was born to entertain and lucky for me i got nothing holdin me back.  no wife. no kids.  no money.  just the street.  the lights.  and my fans.
