hip hop and rap, yeah that's where my hearts at....

no idea what song i heard on the radio yesterday but i have never heard someone rap so slow and yet sound so good.  makes me wonder how slow you can rap and still be good.  someone needs to test the limits.  maybe i'll do it after i finish planting tomatoes. 

music is one of those things that i don't really have any major preference for but rap always has a special place.  but when it comes to rap, an issue i have to bring up is why stations have to be hip hop AND r&b?  what the hell is the connection between the genres?  i like rap but im totally not into r&b and i dont see why the two must be associated.  rock stations are just rock...not rock and opera.  i dunno i just get annoyed when i have to wait for some boring r&b song to finish on the radio.  oh and i should take a moment to distinguish my taste in rap.  see i like it but not all of it and def not dumb rap.  nor do i like rap that samples crazy sounds like police sirens, chipmunk voices, glass breaking, whistles, dogs barking, men barking, women moaning, men groaning, can openers, turn blinkers, balloons popping, computers restarting, belching, shoes squeeking, etc.  i especially hate when i think a cop is behind me pulling me over because of the sirens in the song.
